So, why should we ask questions?
First of all, they allow you to evaluate the potential opportunity and to determine if the company and role meets your needs, and they also help spark a two-sided conversation.
From the other side they show that you are prepared about the company, you are really interested in the positions you are applying for and that you are not scared of saying or asking when something hits your curiosity or when you’re in need.
Being proactive is always a good sign of self-awareness and eagerness to do things.

What constitutes a typical workday here?
How do you handle performance and salary reviews here?
How do you like to communicate with the people on your team?

What are the most immediate projects that need to be addressed? It shows your real interest in the job and that you are ready to start
How does this position contribute to the company overall? It shows you care for your contribute in the company
What learning and professional development opportunities are available to your employees?
Are there opportunities for advancement within the company? It shows you are looking for a place in which grow and stay for a long time
What is the performance review process like here? How often would I be formally reviewed? It shows you can handle feedback
What are the current goals that the company is focused on, and how does this team work to support hitting those goals? It shows you know the company but you want to learn more
What’s different about working here than anywhere else?
Can you describe the working culture of the organisation? It shows you have values and you like to work where your values are met.
Can you tell me more about the team I would be working in? It shows you know how to work on a team and that you’d like to get ready to be part of it.
